Caye Caulker is a free-love wonderland. I’ve never felt more in love with the human race, I wanted to vote the people of Caye Caulker into ruling the world. It just seemed like they had life all worked out.
Money wasn’t an object, but sitting on the beach, getting to know people and generally just being happy was the aim of the game.
I’m fairly sure they were all either high and drunk – perhaps both but they were HAPPY. And at the end of the day that’s all that matters.
We slipped into a very relaxing daily routine here, wake up on island time, grab a fresh mixed juice, eat bacon/egg/cheese fry jacks for breakfast, lay in the hammocks on the dock listening to the music coming from the Split, kayak around, grab the usual chicken and rice from the roadside grills, get another juice, grab some corn chips, watch the sunset, visit our favourite Asian lady for some dumplings and drift off to sleep.
It was too good & we definitely recommend visiting at least once in your life.
